Glashus Ett

This building, the Glashus Ett, was just completed on June 6.  The King of Sweden was on hand to officially open the structure, but it plans to have another public opening on August 15, as part of BoStad02, a housing show in Stockholm.

Knowing that the Glashus Ett is an information resource for the residents of Hammarby-Sjöstad, I went inside, and met the very friendly man - who's very new job is to inform visitors and residents about the environmental infrastructure of the project.

This was a great find, because as there are really few residents actually living here yet, I was finding it difficult to have my curiousity satisfied.  This will be a great resource in the years to come for all who are interested in living here, or interested in developing their own 'Hammarby-Sjöstad' model of housing.
