Image 1 is from pg. 216 of Home by Design. It shows how siding can effectively anchor a home. For the Armstrong House, we may make different siding choices, but the composition will be as is shown in the elevation drawings.

Image 2 is from pg. 180 of Home by Design. It shows how a simple pattern of 1x4s or 1x6s can make plain wood garage doors more interesting.

Image 3 was provided to me by Margaret, and it is from Sunset magazine. Margaret provided me with many pictures like this of storage nooks that she wants built into the remodel.

Image 4 was provided to me by Margaret, and it is from Sunset magazine. Margaret provided me with many images of french doors opening to a backyard, and lots of glazing. Increasing the natural light in the Armstrong House was a central goal.

Image 5 was provided to me by Margaret, and it is from pg. 129 of Home by Design. We will replace a closet at the end of the hall with built-in casework like this.
